Adding the Notification

  1. Visit the Streamcord Dashboard and choose your server from the list.

  2. Click the Notifications tab.

  3. Click Create a notification.

  4. Under Choose a platform, select YouTube.

  5. In the Channel name field, enter the channel's handle as it appears in the URL on the channel's profile page on YouTube.

    • For example, if the channel's URL is https://youtube.com/@streamcord, the channel name is streamcord.
  6. In the Posts to field, select the channel in your server where notification messages should be sent.

  7. In the Custom message field, enter the message you want sent when the channel posts or goes live.

    TIP

The message supports Discord Markdown and formatting variables.

    INFO

Unlike Twitch notifications, YouTube notifications don't include an embed containing information about the livestream / video.

If you want to include a link to the video, you must include the text "{video.url}" in your message.

  8. (Optional) To filter between livestreams, shorts, and videos, click Advanced settings to expand the section. Under Notify for these video types, check or uncheck Livestreams, Shorts, and Videos as needed. All three are selected by default.

  9. Click the Add notification button at the bottom of the page.

TIP

Congrats, you've just added your first notification!
